About Susannah

I received my B.A. from Brown University and my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have advanced training in CBT, Imago Relationship Therapy and the Gottman Method of couples counseling.

At Westchester High I worked with victims of crime, and teens dealing with the death of a parent, substance abuse, sexual identity, self-esteem issues, and suicidal ideation.

As a member of the Chiron Crisis Response team I worked with local law enforcement and fire departments to provide emotional and practical support to those who have recently experienced a traumatic event.

I spent over twelve years as a patient care coordinator for cancer patients at the UCLA Medical Center, guiding frightened patients through the complexity of the modern health care system.

My approach is compassionate as well as practical when working with individuals and couples dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression caused by difficult life transitions, illness, and traumatic events.

As a long time lover of books and literature, I particularly value your unique story. I admire and support your determination to carve out a better life for yourself. I nurture your courage to face the future and applaud your resilience in the face of a difficult past.
